ExLab – making sense of Art AND Science
When art and science collide there are exciting results to experience! This summer ExLab will present a series of new contemporary artworks created in response to the unique environment of the Jurassic Coast. Artists Simon Callery, Mat Chivers, Zachary Eastwood-Bloom, Simon Ryder and creative studio Proboscis are collaborating with earth scientists on the creation of a series of temporary site responsive artworks, to be presented at various coastal and inland locations across Dorset throughout the summer of 2012.
We can come to you, or you may like to come to us – we have some great partner organisations for you to work with – including Durlston County Park, Walford Mill Crafts, PVA MediaLab, Bridport Arts Centre, Sherborne House Arts, Artsreach and the National Trust.
Snap up the opportunity to do some cross-curricular workshops – do get in touch to discuss your needs with us – producer@bigpic.org.uk – and we’ll get back to you with a bespoke proposal to meet those needs. We’re working across the region, between Bridport and Bournemouth, so you won’t have far to go!
And come back soon to download a workbook of creative ideas for all ages about art and science – and check out the dates for Research Lab days at our partner venues.
